An imaginary cosmetics company we created to help explain how Farseer can be extremely useful in planning the financial side of production and distribution.

But business processes, financial and demand planning problems are. Across this website, we talk about real issues our actual clients were facing, but we use an example company to make things simpler.
What was happening with Bubblz?
The company had a very successful decade, but it did not scale its operations as efficiently it wanted. They kept introducing new products, constantly opening up new markets, and creating new sales channels.
Bubblz managed to ramp up the production successfully, but its supply chains became somewhat chaotic, inventory management expenses went through the roof, and it took too long to forecast demand, so Bubblz was losing sales.
It all came down to:
old and inefficient spreadsheet tools
forecasting workflows disconnecting the management and finance departments from operations and making it almost impossible to work efficiently.
In other words, every planning cycle, people from the finance department would go crazy sending tons of spreadsheets to all profit centers and getting them back full of errors and nonsense they had to correct manually.
